Semi-Independent Accommodation for Young People in Care

We provide several semi-independent accommodation homes for young people in care or leaving care. Our semi-independent homes operate on a spot purchasing process which allows us to work with local authorities to provide suitable accommodation and support aged 16 to 18.

These services are designed to be flexible and adapt to each young person’s needs and offer a range of flexible support packages. Our approach is trauma-informed and person-centred approach to enhance the lives of young people to promote their involvement planning of activities and set-up of the home.

Support and Transition

All young people placed within our shared homes will have minimum of 5 hours 1:1 support to develop their independence, in line with their assessed needs.

Young people will have changing needs, therefore; support will is adjusted in line with the changing needs of the young people and increase or decrease dependent on their specific needs.

Young people within our shared accommodations with have a pathway plan in preparation for their 18th birthday to increase their independent living skills to stepdown to more independent living and having more access to opportunities that support them to become more independent.

There is a robust matching process, to enable young people to live in a safe and secure therapeutic environment.

Placements

We offer 24/7 staffed shared accommodations for multiple placements, such as: male only units, female only units, shared units for males and females, standalone units with outreach support and to meet specific needs. Our high support homes support young people that is classed as high risk, vulnerable and challenging with 2:1 or 1:1 support 24/7 daily.

Shared Living

Our shared living services support young people who often needs further support in preparation to live more independently.
